Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. This day was created in 2004 to draw the attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by the LGBTQplus community. The date of May 17th was specifically chosen to commemorate the World Health Organization’s decision in 1990 to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder.

Thank you to everyone who participated in RAINBOW Day. Could homeroom teachers please submit participation numbers to Mrs. Throop for anyone who is wearing 3 of more colors of the rainbow. 

Popsicles will be delivered to those who ordered during lunch break today.
